Sunshine Act

The Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, 65 Pa.C.S. §§ 701-716, requires agencies to deliberate and take official action on agency business in an open and public meeting. It requires that meetings have prior notice, and that the public can attend, participate, and comment before an agency takes that official action.

Megan’s Law

Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law, 42 Pa.C.S § 9799.32(1) and § 9799.67(1), requires the State Police to create and maintain a registry of persons who reside, or is transient, work/carry on a vocation, or attend school in the Commonwealth and who have either been convicted of, entered a plea of guilty to, or have been adjudicated delinquent of Certain Sexual Offenses in Pennsylvania or another jurisdiction.

Right to Know

Open Records Policy – Resolution R-19-01All records deemed public will be available for inspection and copying at the Township Office during normal business hours, which are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with the exception of holidays. However, due to staffing limitations and other matters impacting the Township’s ability to respond to request for inspection and copying, the Township reserves the right to request that inspection and copying be performed by appointment.
