In observance of Labor Day, the Old Gregg School will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Gregg Twp., Centre County is seeking a full-time Assistant Roadmaster.  Normal work week is Monday through Friday, but will be called in when weather necessitates.  Must be able to drive all township trucks and operate all township public works equipment.  Able to operate backhoe, front end loader, dump trucks, mowers, tractors, and a variety of other heavy equipment, as well as powered hand tools, and make minor repairs to the equipment.  Performs snow removal and ice control activities during winter months, including operation of plowing equipment.  CDL Class B Drivers license is required.

Once probation is successfully completed, employee will be eligible for medical health insurance, dental and vision insurance, Simple IRA Retirement Plan, PTO, and seven paid holidays.

Pipe Replacement & Cleaning:
Route 2012 (Cooper Street) between Route 2010 (Upper George’s Valley Road) and Route 2005 (Long Street) in Gregg Township. Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28.

Flaggers in the roadway will provide traffic control during daylight hours and may deploy a pilot vehicle. When encountering a pilot vehicle with a “Pilot Car Follow Me” sign mounted on the rear and a revolving yellow light, drivers must remain behind it until it has left the roadway. Do not pass.

Pa Rural Water has been contracted by Sewer Authority to conduct a smoke test assessment of the sewer system beginning on August 18th, 2026, through August 19th, 2026. The smoke testing could be delayed if heavy rains are persistent and soak the ground. Later dates may need to be scheduled.
